R. Michael Thompson

R. Michael “Mike” Thompson is one of the founding members of the firm who now serves as Of Counsel. For 40 years, he has represented banking and financial clients in creditors’ rights and civil litigation in state and federal courts and bankruptcy courts throughout Georgia. Mike has become an industry leader in the area of creditors’ rights.

Experience

Mike’s clients consist of national, regional and local financial institutions for which he manages all aspects of creditors’ rights litigation and bankruptcy. He has developed particular expertise in Uniform Commercial Code matters, personal property foreclosures, defense of lender liability claims, and all other matters affecting creditors’ rights. Mike is active in the development of the practice, having lectured on topics involving secured lending and bankruptcy.
